TTMMHTM: Batman helps kids with cancer, NIN nostalgia, future friendly things and love hotels

Things that made me happy this morning:

  • [Man dressed as batman](http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/rosenwald-md/post/who-is-the-route-29-batman-this-guy/2012/03/28/gIQA8nPjgS_blog.html) caught speeding by police – turns out he is frequently going to the kids’ hospital to inspire the cancer patients to fight. This is a real tear jerker
  • [Nine Inch Nails performing at Dance Party USA](http://www.pitchfork.com/news/45955-watch-rare-amazing-footage-of-nine-inch-nails-performing-on-dance-party-usa-in-the-late-1980s/) – someone found an old VHS recording and Trent Reznor commented pointing out Skrillex owes him some publishing for the hairdo. This is almost as good as Trent playing with [Slam Bamboo](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWccbyICM_A) abd being thanked for being a [lovely man](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0foccuYinFI&feature=relmfu) for helping them out
  • [Sit or Squat](http://www.sitorsquat.com/) is a public toilet finder – this might sound mundane but as a frequent traveler this is a damn good app (via [@yaellevey](http://twitter.com/yaellevey))
  • [World Map of Metal bands per 100,000 people](http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zXJ9jUu1aAY/T3N6jfz86II/AAAAAAAAR6o/I5skdsxSmQI/s1600/MetalBands.jpg) – no comment
  • [Infinite transition delays](http://joelb.me/blog/2012/maintaining-css-style-states-using-infinite-transition-delays/) seem to be a fun CSS trick to create interaction
  • The [US wind map](http://joelb.me/blog/2012/maintaining-css-style-states-using-infinite-transition-delays/) is a very lovely visualisation of live(?) data
  • [Responsive Web Design: missing the point](http://bradfrostweb.com/blog/web/responsive-web-design-missing-the-point/) is a well-written reminder of what [Future Friendly](http://futurefriend.ly/) really means
  • [Mattew Wilcox on responsive images](http://vimeo.com/38947881) is a long, but indexed screencast showing some of the techniques
  • [Love Hotels and Unicode](http://www.reigndesign.com/blog/love-hotels-and-unicode/) is a long and good post on UTF-8
  • [Stop solving problems you don’t yet have](http://www.rachelandrew.co.uk/archives/2012/03/21/stop-solving-problems-you-dont-yet-have/) by Rachel Andrew is another good reminder to keep things simple
